How does Kindle Unlimited work?
Kindle Unlimited operates on a subscription model. You pay on a monthly basis, and in return, Amazon grants you access to a HUGE catalog of free books.( near 4 million..just crazy )
The great news is that you don’t necessarily need a Kindle e-reader to enjoy them!

You can read your Kindle Unlimited books on any device using the Kindle app, be it your phone, Kindle Fire, or PC.

The only catch is that you can’t utilize other e-readers for this service.

You can choose books from a nearly endless catalog of titles. If you don’t like a book, you simply return it and pick another one.
What I often do is choose a book in Kindle Unlimited, and if I enjoy it, I end up buying the paperback or hardcover edition for my collection.

There are NO LIMITATIONS on how many books you choose to download. 50, 100 books? You name it!
The only restriction Amazon imposes is on how many books you can have on your account at the same time.

Kindle Unlimited and Prime Reading differences
Prime Reading is a perk for Prime members that provides them access to a catalog of books.

While it operates similarly to Kindle Unlimited, the catalog is quite limited, to say the least. I couldn’t find any of my favorite titles in Prime Reading, and maybe only 2 or 3 books were worth it.

If you already have Amazon Prime, it’s a nice addition nonetheless, but it just can’t compare with the titles available in Kindle Unlimited.
How to use Kindle Unlimited
Once you’ve paid your monthly subscription, go to the Amazon page and search for “Kindle Unlimited books.” Let’s use Six Scorched Roses from Carissa Broadbent as an example (I strongly recommend you to read it, by the way!).
You will see that the price is zero, and you can download and read it for free.
Simply click on the yellow button, and you will be redirected to a page similar to the one that appears when you purchase a Kindle book.
You can choose to deliver it to any device. I have several devices registered, and at least for me, Kindle Unlimited books download automatically to all of them.
Listening to audiobooks with Kindle Unlimited.
One thing not many people know is that your Kindle Unlimited subscription comes with a catalog of FREE audiobooks as well. Yay!

To listen to an audiobook, you have to download the Audible app (click here to download the app, is free )

When you choose a Kindle Unlimited book with Audible narration, it will automatically download both the Kindle version and the audio to your device. The great thing is that you can switch at any time between audio and reading! How cool is that??

I strongly recommend checking out Audible if you’re into audiobooks. It works a little bit differently than Kindle Unlimited in terms of audiobook availability but is worth every dollar!

First, make sure to select a Kindle Unlimited book with the cute little headphone sign. Also, check that you have the Audible app installed on your device.

Here are some personal tips and tricks I use to get the most out of my Kindle Unlimited subscription:

First and foremost: Trust in book bloggers!! Hehe. I always find inspiration for my TBR (To be Read List) list on other Bookstagram accounts or Pinterest.

Also I rely heavily on fanart and artists. I have picked ENTIRE SERIES only by seeying a fanart made of a scene from a book.Ā
