With people communicating through their minds, plot twists, and a plethora of tree names (I learned quite a few tree names with this book, haha xd), One Dark Window is the perfect gothic romance if you’re seeking something dark and eerie after Iron Flame (just to continue with the vibes, haha).
Eighteen-year-old Iris dreams that one day her writing will make a difference. A war between gods is raging, and sheās landed a prestigious job at theĀ Oath Gazette.

Divine Rivals secured its spot on this Book List not just for those reasons (which are pretty valid as well) but also due to the similarities in character development with Iron Flame.

Carissa Broadbent is among my preferred spicy fantasy romance authors, and this book features one of my favorite fantasy creatures: vampires!

I have a soft spot for these nocturnal beings, and in The Serpent and The Wings of Night, we experience that adorable tension that vampire books bring to the table, mixed with The Hunger Games.
Reluctant allies, forced proximity… this book has lots of similar tropes as seen in Iron Flame and Fourth Wing.

The conclusion of Book 1… those kinds of cliffhangers should be forbidden, haha. Absolutely worth the read if you’re in search of a book similar to Iron Flame with steamy scenes.

It shares some reminiscences with Iron Flame and books like What Lies Beyond the Veil. However, what sets Jennifer L. Armentrout’s fantasy romance apart are the over-the-top steamy scenes and flirting.

I just love how she writes spicy scenes. If you loved the Throne scene in Iron Flame, definitely check out this book and her other series, A Shadow in the Ember; you will love both!!
